Continuous evaluation process
Each of our approved suppliers are involved in our continuous evaluation process, where we keep a close dialogue and follow up of performances, prospects and so on. This process includes 5 different parts which all are tools for a better quality, and a better cooperation.
Q-meetings
A PCB Connect Q-meeting are an opportunity for a discussion and follow up of issues for both factory and PCB Connect. There is a big flexibility in the meeting, but based a certain stability such as:
- Review of corrective actions taken
- Delivery performance
- Claim performance
- Purchase
- Planned investments, development, changes
- Review of instruction versions and understanding
Factory tour If needed or planned there is also opportunity for partial audit to be carried out during the Q-meeting. The conclusions/ results are then summarized in a report which is distributed internally within PCB Connect Group, and if deviations have been found during the audit a report will be distributed to supplier for further handling.
Monthly evaluations
our monthly evaluation of our suppliers are based, in large scale, on statistical measurements. We calculate each suppliers Delivery, and claim and service performance, which are distributed to each of our main suppliers. This evaluation enables us to take quick actions to any negative trend. Also we have the possibility to praise good performances.
Rating system
our rating system is based on our statistical measurements. Suppliers are rated on their performance concerning deliveries, claims, service, and price. The rating and performances are summarized and communicated in our AVL in order to make it possible for us to place orders to our highest ranked suppliers. Good performance shall be praised.
Continuous follow up
our continuous follow up is related to our daily work with follow up on production, deliveries and order handling. A close contact ensures quick solutions to any issue that might arise.
AVL (Approved vendor list)
All information which generates from the continuous evaluation process are compiled in our AVL, which shows information about each PCB Connect approved supplier. The meaning with the AVL is among others to ensure “Choice by performance”, which means that we shall ensure that the most suited supplier is used for every supply. Our AVL shows information about the rating and which supplier that shall be used for which capability. The information is updated on same basis as the monthly evaluation and approval of suppliers.
